About
I found yoga when I was going through one of the most difficult times of my life in 2007. Every day I went to the studio, I realized I was able to be in the moment; my troubles disappeared because I was able to get out of my head and into my body. Movement has always been part of my life, but the awareness yoga offered felt life changing for my body, mind, and whole being.
My main goal has always been to help people get to know themselves better and to assist them in working through their healing process. While my bachelor’s degree in psychology has aided me, being immersed in the world of yoga made me realize that the techniques and practices have helped me heal in ways that traditional therapy cannot offer. Following, I dove headfirst into workshops and teacher trainings.
About a year later, my friends were asking me to teach yoga to them, I started teaching small groups in 2008 while I continued to practice and study. I feel very fortunate to have found some incredibly experienced, knowledgeable, world recognized teachers along the way: Esteban Salazar, Jaye Martin, Kenneth Graham, Noah Mazé, BJ Galvan, Christy McKenzie and Martin Kirk, just to name a few. I have deepened my philosophy and meditation studies with Bill Mahony, Douglas Brooks, and Paul Muller Ortega. I became an Anusara Inspired teacher in 2012, completed my advanced training program with Noah Mazé in 2014, and I am an E-RYT 500 teacher.
